Kevin Caputo, L.Ac.
Licensed Acupuncturist
“I studied Alternative Medicine and earned my Master’s level diploma from the American Institute of Alternative Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. I’m trained to address a variety of concerns but the most common issues I treat (with great effectiveness) are pain, digestive issues, sleeping issues, dizziness, and some psychological issues such as anxiety, depression, and stress. I was first introduced to Acupuncture as a young child when my father tried acupuncture for chronic ear infections after traditional medical treatments were unsuccessful.
After consistent treatment, the ear infections went away. I was privileged to have watched the whole process take place from a young age. I saw a lot of what went into it and was intrigued ever since.”
“I later found a need for Acupuncture as an athlete, playing sports year-round without many breaks. I played football, basketball, baseball and eventually soccer, wrestling and track competitively for clubs and school. As an athlete, I was always looking for an edge and acupuncture helped me greatly, not only by preventing injuries and strengthening me mentally and physically, but on the very rare occasion that I did have an injury, Acupuncture helped me heal exponentially faster.
Acupuncture is an always-evolving science that gets its roots from the observation of nature and its laws. Out of thousands of years of fine-tuning, through empirical practice and evidence (especially with the aid of western technologies) comes the Acupuncture we have today. Modern Acupuncture is a blend of the technology and wisdom of both eastern and western philosophies. I witnessed this amazing amalgam after a two-month stint working in a hospital in Beijing.”
